Swags
Wind whipped up the lake surface keeping it from freezing, but the sheltered inlet had a thin layer of ice. The wind had pushed algae and scum down the inlet into loopy patterns as the ice froze and I spent my time looking for different arrangements that I found interesting.
The curves in this image reminded me of swags of material in a window dressing.
Extra: Froth Pattern. Inspired by Edward Burtynsky.
