The Christmas Robin

We've had a very relaxing day today at our Airbnb, and after a lazy morning we went for a stroll along the canal which was nice as there was hardly anyone around and we saw a couple of canal boats chugging along.

We came back to the house for lunch and then spent the afternoon with our feet up watching the TV.  The only downside of the day was watching the latest government briefing, and as we expected the whole of Sussex along with many other areas are moving into Tier 4 from  00.01 on 26th December.  Cheshire, where we are now is moving into Tier 3.  So we will spend Christmas Day with the family as planned and we will drive home to Brighton on 26th, to basically a lockdown equivalent to that earlier in the year.  The most worrying announcement though was that there's yet another strain of Covid that's been found, which appears to have been brought into the country from South Africa.  At this point we don't know much about it, but it's certainly spreading very quickly and we all need to be very careful!

This evening we watched A Star is Born on Amazon Prime, I watched it on the plane to Singapore last year and wanted to watch it again, as I never feel you watch a film properly on a plane.
