WITH A SONG IN MY HEART

...which we saw on our walk.

Today's prompt for Febcreate is Auld - Scot's for old in case you didn't know.

I have Blipped this Tessera heart in the extra before but this time I have painted it too. It looks a bit wonky but that's OK.
I don't know how old it is but this type of mosaic jewellery was popular in Victorian times and imported from Italy.
I swapped this pretty thing for a 'diamond' when I was about 6 or 7 - 60 years ago!
I lived in Ellesmere Port at the time and all the little girls I knew carried a bead tin around with them - usually a tobacco or sweetie tin. At playtime in school or when we were out playing we used to swap our beads and jewels. I must have had a good eye for things at that young age.
To keep our stocks up we used knock at people's doors and ask if they had any old necklaces, bracelets or earrings then we would take them to bits. It was always a thrill to get diamonds, rubies, sapphires or emeralds (from costume jewellery).

So this is what I've been doing today as well as a bit of tidying and vacuuming.

I didn't realise it was Friday! Where has the week gone? :-0

I wish you all a good weekend - be happy and safe.
:-)X
