Winter View fae Hoofield

A fairly dull day, a chilly breeze, and more snow showers throughout the day.

I was working from home this morning, headed to mam's for a lunchtime walk, which ended up longer than planned, so made up my time this evening.  Big Brian and Madeline popped their heads in the door this evening.  More walkies with Sammy, and now feet up by the fire.

Me and mam set off, out mission was just to see the frozen waterfall, but we ended up climbing up Hoofield, and nearly hit the summit, not quite.  Hoofield is the third largest hill in Shetland, the second largest is the hill behind it, Roylfield.  The views were stunning, as always, and great to look over my home village, but it was freezing.  Even though there had been snow last night, and some today, it's still really patchy over the south mainland, far more west and north.  Looking over Cunningsburgh, from Hoofield.
