Discord on the duck pond

Woke up to rain and to find the snow pretty much gone except for around the field margins and around our greenhouse where vast quantities slumped off the roof.

Susan up at her mum’s twice today. A visit from the physio coincided with a visit from the district nurse. We think the physio is doing some good - too little too late.

We managed to get out this afternoon for a walk in what seemed like tropical conditions before Susan went back up to her mum’s to cook dinner, make a shopping list and many other little jobs. I made a macaroni cheese with cauliflower and roast squash in a cheese and cider sauce with mustard. It was good.

There was much commotion on lake in Mote Park. The swans were having a barney up and down the water with much splashing and guttural calls while the geese were honking and hissing and generally being bad tempered to each other accompanied by aggressive beaks and protruding tongues.

So I thought, what a wonderful blip to meet the MonoMonday challenge of “Friends” hosted by Carolina. Nothing high key about this, high drama for sure.
