Rutland Water
We powered through Home School this morning - gaining three merits for the eldest on the way. Happy boys. The youngest crashed the phonics lesson with the eldest, and happily chirped away with all the right sounds. He was very proud of himself.
We took the puppy to Rutland Water this afternoon. Slight nerves on my part that it could be utter chaos and the puppy could go into slight melt down at the sight of all the ducks, people and other dogs (although there was a higher ratio of ducks to people and dogs). He was very good. The biggest problem was a couple with their dog off a lead who was being thrown a ball to play with, which the puppy understandably found rather hard to deal with. The husband says he is barely a puppy anymore, he is probably right.
Home to find the reward I bought the boys back in January has finally arrived. The eldest has been bribed to get himself dressed since Christmas with the reward of a new pair of red trousers awaiting. This was fine, except they came from France and have spent a month languishing in customs.
Today I'm grateful for:
Home School, it's super hard, exhausting, gives you no time at all to yourself, but it's been good, really good.
The youngest ending the week trying really hard, proud of him
The eldest (after a bit of a stern talking to), just getting on with his work and concentrating on what he had to do not what his brother was doing. Proud of him too.
