The mysterious Good Samaritan

Who is he? Who is the unknown person who has replaced the bridge destroyed in a flood many years ago?
 
Nobody knows. Some speculate it’s a Chinese man who has done it out of altruism, a community gesture.  
All we know is that this simple plank bridge has suddenly appeared on the circular path around Cocksburn reservoir.
 
Or, more prosaic it could be the long awaited replacement bridge promised by Scottish Power.
 
Older walkers, like myself, are  delighted that once again we can do this favourite route around the reservoir. Younger, more agile, folk have simply leapt across
