Diary of an Edinburgher

By LadyMarchmont

Blossom!

Jings it was colder than ever today. That wind was straight from the Arctic. We didn’t get any snow, though other parts of the UK did. But it didn’t put Becky off coming to take Archie out this morning.

Bert and Brian, our erstwhile schnauzer neighbours, have moved away, but there is a new schnauzer in residence. We haven’t met her (and her mum and dad) yet, so wanted to pop round to say hi. JR made muffins, and in the afternoon we set off to knock on their door. But, unsurprisingly, they were out on a sunny public holiday. I took the box of muffins back home and stayed there (will try again later), while JR continued on with the walk.

Archie is going down to hang out with Christine tomorrow afternoon, because we’re going on a wee drive, actually out of the city boundaries for the first time in months! No, not a wee jolly - I have to go to a hospital to get my thumb cortisone injection. EEEk! The bus takes 90 minutes - goes all round housing schemes I didn’t know existed - and so JR will come with me in the car (takes 40 minutes). It’ll make a wee change though.
