Chadkirk

Today we met Kate at chadkirk after lunch. She brought Pippin and Ernie and we had a lovely walk. Chloe 'helped' Kate to walk Pippin calling 'come on pip pip' most of the way. Thomas walked and ran with Ernie. We took a picture of Thomas and Ernie at chadkirk 3 years ago, and recreated it today - I'll add it as an extra.
We walked up the side of the stream (Thomas and Chloe got in for a little paddle) to the canal (where I had to put Chloe in the carrier as she was determined to get in for a swim!) and through the woods to the Chapel, back round the path to the river bridge and then back down the side of the field to the car park. A fire engine passed us and pulled up - Chloe said hi to the firemen who got out, and then tried to get into it!!
We saw 2 herons, some ducks, a goose, some horses, lots of birds and squirrels and some sheep on our walk today, but Chloe and Thomas were still happiest to have seen pippin and Ernie!!
They absolutely love Kate, and Thomas has already asked when we can next see her for a walk.
Thomas was at football training tonight, then stayed up late playing xbox with uncle sam (wearing bens headset to chat away the whole time) and then watched the first half of the United match. Chloe on the other hand virtually fell asleep in her tea and woke up just enough to have a shower before a very early bedtime!! She was so tired!!
