Our apple tree put up with a lot last year. With the various stone works going on trenches were dug around - and under - its roots as one of my extras on 2 December last year showed.

I also burrowed deep and long to remove as much bindweed root as possible. So the ground around the tree was very disturbed.

I’m pleased to report that the tree is budding up well and today the first blossom appeared. New beginnings despite difficult times. Probably sums up today.
