Hareshaw Linn

#3 daughter had dropped Ella and Nathaniel off at a Beavers event near Hexham so we met her at Bellingham for a walk to Hareshaw Linn. It was very busy but people walked quickly past. Although it was a hot day the walk in woods by the stream was a very pleasant 3.5 miles. We managed to find a path leading away from the crowds to have a picnic before she headed back. Some of the activities the children did involved climbing high up and zip-wiring down. Nathaniel was fearless but Ella was the braver because she was full of fear yet did it.

We had a BBQ in the evening in Linda’s beautiful garden. Sarah and Allan also came. We are getting into the swing of company again but Linda and Colin are very nervous still so we had to huddle round the fire pit as they don’t want anyone in the house. Once the sun goes down here it gets really cold. Luckily we took our winter coats which now smell of smoke.
