Wetlands and tower

I started off the day with an enjoyable run around the Kersal Wetlands, which is one of my favourite places 'round here. Despite the fact that there are roads on every side, it's so serene and it feels totally outside of the city.

It was less serene back at the house where we are having a wood stove fitted (and when I say "we", the Minx has managed this project 100%). Still, amongst the industrial noises, I managed to get a morning's work done before heading down the road to college...

... where we spent the afternoon modulating with Low Frequency Oscillators, which I enjoyed enormously.

After that, I had a couple of beers with some of my classmates at The New Oxford before walking across to meet the Minx for dinner at Vertigo, a "plant-based eatery", or vegetarian restaurant as we used to call them.

On the way over, walking up towards Deansgate, I took this shot of Beetham Tower (see Extra): quite a contrast to the Wetlands, this morning.
