Glenkiln Cross

Joanna and I met in Glenkiln today, intending to do a low level walk, but then decided on the spur of the moment to visit Henry Moore's Glenkiln Cross and Johnny Turner's Monument.

The air was full of the sound of skylarks and the fields full of wildflowers. A good day to be alive and to be up high enough to see the hills all around. We were reluctant to come down again but I have gardening to crack on with.

Next time we will take a picnic and a map and will linger for longer.
