Concert day

Today was Katie's first Cathedral concert. Her first school concert at Wells. Her first formal concert since March 2020.

She got in a stew about it in the run up to it. Big time. An unbelievable amount of detail went into her worrying about it, so one of the staff told me.

But tonight she sat back, shone and revelled in the joy of performing, in a beautiful venue, with talented colleagues, to an appreciative audience. Apparently she looked absolutely in her element.

I've used this image of her and Nia because sharing tonight with Nia, and her family, was so special and it's more Cathedraly too, and her dress.... But the smile in the extra is what I am hanging on to. Its what I have been waiting all these weeks for her to feel again. It's why we did this.
