Californian poppies

Today I managed to get to the allotment to do some much needed weeding…the weeds have grown quicker than the veg! 
Each year we have lots of self- seeded poppies which are really nice scattered all over the plot . I sometimes pick a few and bring home as they do suck water quite well and last for several days on a vase.
