The Park

Given how late we were home last night, today has been mighty productive with a host of things ticked off the to-do list (masters assignments still hanging over me in that oh so annoying way). 

Boys seemed to be up and out really well this morning, we were even early for school!  I did cancel after school club as I wasn't sure they would quite last the distance, or that school would thank me for two exhausted children in their care.  Took the boys to the park after school, all was fine until we left and there were many tears from the eldest, which proved the point that they were oh so very tired. 

Home for fish fingers and chips, the normal Friday meal that the eldest had rightly clocked we didn't have last week - and so requested it for this evening.  The usual 'what to have for dinner' question solved by him and easily provided. 

Today I'm grateful for: 
All of us making it through the day
The cat deciding to return late afternoon, he goes walk-about when we go away which always worries the neighbour looking after him 
A lunch time run, which perked me up more than I thought it would
