WITH A SONG IN MY HEART

By lizzie_birkett

Home!

We arrived home about 10 am.
Quickly put everything back in their places.
Got a few loads of washing done and dried.
Bella was excited to see the lovely boys next door and Bob on the other side. He left his gate open so she wandered into his house and ‘played dead’ on his cool kitchen floor for ages.  Bella loves Bob. It was nice to chat to him too and hear the local news.

We started to tackle the overgrown and very dry garden. Bob has been watering it but I don’t think he was generous enough.
It’s been slightly cooler today.

Another funny Bella story. She always has a towel on the inside of her bed so it can be washed easier than the actual bed. The dog towels I have are all white or pale grey old towels. Last night I had run out of clean towels so put a gaudy Tenerife beach towel in - it was bright blue, yellow and pink. She went to her bed, stopped looked at the towel, then at me and turned and lay on the floor. When it was our bedtime Frank told her to get I to her bed and she didn’t want to, he had to tell her firmly to get in and eventually she did. She has so many funny little quirks. She likes everything to be the same and just so.

We’re just watching a Dolly Parton programme. What a woman! What a songwriter and performer!

Thanks for all the lovely comments, stars and hearts on our long trip!

Goodnight ;-)X
