Hammersmith bridge open again!

Hammersmith Bridge has a problem….. it needs repairing and for the last year and a half has been closed to motor traffic. For a while it was also closed to pedestrians and bicycles too causing massive problems for people who previously used it daily. No solution has yet been announced … it is crazy that either the present bridge can not be repaired  or a new bridge built …I’m sure that is what would happen in other countries. 

Today I went for bike ride with two friends along the south of the Thames via Kew and Barnes to Hammersmith bridge, crossed it and then retuned on the north side via Chiswick to Syon Park Garden Centre, a round trip of about 22 miles.
