An afternoon siesta

This lovely looking Jersey didn't object to me lying down on the grass opposite her - she just continued to chew her cud, and seemed to enjoy posing for the camera.

It is amazing how fast the grass has greened up - and the cows were certainly enjoying being in their paddock snacking on it. Now that the ground has some moisture in it, this paddock will be topped when the cows finish grazing it tomorrow morning. This will remove all the storky grass that has gone to seed, and let fresh lush grass grow in its place.
