Day 2 in East Sussex
Actually we went to West Sussex for much of the day. Went to another outdoor museum - this one called the Weald and Downland Living museum. Again they are old buildings transferred and restored - from the local region. Unlike the one in Wales, this one also has some animals. The main is of geese in an orchard - I thought they were lovely, then some shire horses mowing a meadow. They were well trained and responded to vocal instructions from the handler. They seemed to be snatching up and eating quite a lot of the hay while they were working, and who can blame them. The second extra is of one of the houses, they were mostly 13th to 16th century, and all rather lovely, with beautiful, quite wild looking gardens.
After the museum, we went to Chichester to see South Pacific at the Festival Theatre, a fabulous, thoughtful production. Afterwards we we trying to work out how we new all the words and music of every song. Must have been from programmes on the radio when we were children
