Saturday: Whale Watching

We started the day with croissants and coffees on the balcony before heading down to Tonquin Beach for a walk.  It was beautifully quiet although a few more people did appear while we we were there.

We were booked to go on a zodiac whale watching tour at midday.  We have really lucked out with the weather here - it was supposed to be raining but has actually been beautifully warm and sunny.  The boat trip was fabulous - the waters were really chopping, heading out, but quite exhilarating.  In fact, trios after ours were cancelled.  But it was definitely worth it, as we saw a pod of orcas and followed them for some time.  We also had a great tour and saw plenty of other wild life.
