Ready to Rock

A slightly late blip due to the lack of something suitable to photograph until I’d finished setting up for tonight’s gig. I’m using the number two bass because I traded number one in to get the extra speaker cabinet and a different bass - which isn’t ready yet as it’s having a few upgrades. Still, the red one is more than capable of making all the right noises, especially now the amp can fire at full throttle!
The inevitable happened today as Mrs C came down with the cold I’d had earlier in the week - ironically, just as I was feeling better! As such, it’s been a quiet day but I did take advantage of the lounge now being completely painted to reattach everything that was previously just hanging off. Wall lights are on the walls. You no longer risk electric shock every time you plug something in, and the TV has been restored to its rightful place on its wall bracket, rather than the somewhat peripatetic existence it has had for the last fortnight.
Tonight’s gig marks the beginning of seven days of activity in the evenings. And I have a feeling it will probably be the least stressful as it doesn’t involve having to remember chunks of Shakespearean dialogue! But at least the fact that tomorrow’s play rehearsal is at night rather than the afternoon means I can do the bit of grouting that is needed before the painter does the bathroom door casings on Monday. And there should be time as well to start moving furniture out of the bedroom and into the lounge so that the former can start being painted.
