A Garden Day
I woke up feeling much more energetic than the last few days.
It was dry and sunny for most of the day so I went out to tidy up the garden this morning. I ended up staying out there all day and got loads done.
Cleared all the leaves that had blown in from trees in the village, weeded, cut back shrubs and moves plants that were in the wrong place. I feel good now that it’s all done. I still have some bulbs to go in but some can be planted in the mooring garden.
One of the rose bushes has been completely stripped of its leaves, not sure what has caused it but I hope it survives.
While I was out there this morning I was listening to a Jackdaw ‘talking’ and ‘whistling’ for ages on next doors chimney. He sounded almost human it was extraordinary.
I put the new bird food and fat balls out so I hope he comes down for a feed. A Bluetit arrived quite soon after I hung them on the tree.
I finished all the work just as the rain started about 3.30.
The window cleaner came while I was out there too, so now I can see out and admire the garden Haha!
Frank’s new friend Andrew came round again this afternoon, the two of them are playing music together and it sounds good. Frank has been hoping to find other musicians to play with since we moved here 3 years ago. Now he has 5 in the village! Andrew and him meet every Wednesday and spend 2 hours in the attic (music room) and are working towards being a duo and the other 4 are practising every Thursday as little band. So Frank will be doing 3 spots at the village hall concert at the end of this month - one on his own, one with Andrew and one with the other 4! He’s a busy man but in his element :-)
Tonight is tap dancing and I haven’t practised since last time 2 weeks ago.
Now it’s teatime and I’ve worked up an appetite - I’m so hungry.
Spaghetti and tomato/mushroom sauce :-b
Goodnight Blippers ;-)X
