An afternoon walk today. (Have you noticed that I talk a lot about walking?)
Well anyway I happen to like it, so if you like something it is OK to talk about it a lot. RIGHT!
The Boss and ME were coming up behind a couple on the track today and he noticed a Manfrotto bag slung across the mans' shoulder and when he went past, the lady had an SLR hanging over her neck so......That's right we stopped and HE talked photography. It turned out that the folk were from Christchurch and The Boss's old camera club. Small world Eh! The bloke was very well trained I thought and carried the tripod beautifully. The Boss has a tiny tripod that converts to A BIGGER one with frantic fiddling, and so it had been earlier when he glanced at the lake and thought that something might develop so there was this tripod fiddling and camera fitting and remote shutter release inserting and No Dog filter screwing and hanging his sling bag on the centre shaft hook ( weight stabilises) and then WAITING.
I got bored with this and attempted to lower the lake level a bit more but the No Dog filter worked a treat 'Cos you can't see me....OK? well I tend to keep moving.
Special note for newbies. No Dog = ND = neutral Density...OK?
Note the exposure below and this will become as clear as the water was.
This is Ruby Island starting to think about Autumn colours and viewed courtesy of the only shaft of light that we saw all afternoon.
Row, row, row your boat......
