New trainers

Gym for JR this morning, despite a niggling sore foot. Then in the afternoon we all walked to Waitrose for a ‘click and collect’ item from John Lewis. This is just SO convenient - order online, pick it up at your convenience a day later - no waiting in for deliveries…

We walked a slightly longer route, via a dog friendly cafe which has big delicious scones… 

I elected to walk home a) I’d just missed my bus and b) I was happy to listen to my audiobook. (5,769 steps - my best for a week or so).

JR’s ‘click and collect’ were some new trainers - and after wearing them around the house, declared them to be perfect, and took Archie round the block for an evening stroll in them, so they’re keepers. (But she shouldn’t really have them on the coffee table, though this was before she went outside in them…)

The workmen in the flat upstairs have been busy all day. Good. 

COP26 has ended, and it seems to be a bit of a COP OUT… Surprise, surprise.
