Tampere - the finnish Dubai?

Yes, this is a fully colored shot. But today is a black & white day!

There has made innovations in Tampere to build houses on the manmade ground on the lakeside of Näsijärvi. The newest innovation is to make an island first for the new tram - and later to enlarge the island so, that also flats can be built on it. 

The building of the island will be started at february 2022, so the only thing you can see now, is the white empty icy bay (that is the white area behind the railway and woods).  The pile of rock in the left will be loaded into the lake as the base of the island. There is several rock piles around the city. They are from shooting rock from the hill of Sulkavuori, where a new water cleaning station was built inside of the rocky hill.

It was a bit grey day as hubby helped me wih his drone to have a shot of the area. A brightest moment of the day. On it's way down the drone made somekind of a dive and landed into the thick layer of snow. I hope that it was not broken...

Only - 3c today. We are waiting for a load of snow today. Some 10cm delivered during the night already. Our daughter came to visit (salmon soup lunch) as I asked if she could wash my car too. I helped her with the task. There is a splendid self service car wash carage near us. Hopefully doors of the cars will not be frozen now. Yes, we used silicone to prevent freezing.
