Carol: Rosie & Mr. Fun

2022 Saturday — Hands Down, The Best Meal in Town

At 4:00 pm I told Mr. Fun, “I’m going to Sizzler for dinner.”

I had spent my afternoon uncluttering and cleaning my kitchen. Somehow in the past 2 weeks everything that has come out of the cupboards has landed on the counter-top and stayed there (yes, that’s an exaggeration). It was sort of like the cupboards were doing “Show & Tell” on the counter-top. Clutter — I hate it!

Mr. Fun believes “out of sight, out of mind.” So I’m visualizing all the dishes, pans, and utensils and all the food from the panty placed on the counter-tops; that way Mr. Fun could see everything.

Once everything was put away and the countertop was wiped cleaned, then I turned my attention to the stove. I remember the days of white appliances; gosh they were so much easier to clean and keep clean. Our stovetop is black and the front is stainless steel with a large glass oven door. Cleaning the stovetop can be one tremendously frustrating event, except that seeing the “clean” and the “shine” finally appear is a delicious feeling of accomplishment. I also wiped clean the inside of the oven. It was no small task; finally I was done.

I came out of the kitchen and announced, “I am having dinner at the Sizzler tonight.” Mr. Fun politely asked, “Can I go too?”

Of course he went! and I drove because since his surgery this past Wednesday, he’s having a difficult time turning his neck. He is not a pain in the neck; but, he has a pain in his neck.

Happy New Year!
Good night from Southern California,
Rosie (& Mr. Fun), aka
and Chloe & Mitzi too!

P.S. The small inserted photo (enlarge it) — read about tri-tip and where it comes from. It was news to me.
