Portobello
Quiet day today. Clouded over for the first time this week. We had plans to play on the beach today, but instead we visited the Market at the St Abbs Visitors Centre.
The Centre used to be the local Primary School but there are very few residents now, mostly visitors, divers and fishermen - which is a bit sad....but the locals are very helpful and friendly.
One of the stalls had books by a Glasgow Author. He writes teenage gothic horror and his current book was based at the Necropolis in Glasgow. We bought some books and he signed them for the girls. How exciting to meet a real author!!
We were supposed to leave the cottage by 10 am Sat morning, but I hate the rush of leaving at that time (and trying to wake up teenagers early) - and so we decided to travel home tonight (it's only 50 minutes to Edinburgh).
We stopped off at Luca's in Musselburgh (famous for their excellent Ice Cream!)...and I bagged this blip after an emergency stop near the Porty beach !
Back home, not unpacking until tomorrow - I would much rather catch up with your blips!
(I have BACKBLIPped yesterday !)
P.S. I've update my Blipfolio with a few other blips of St Abbs - you can view it here
