A favourite view

The weather continues to be incredibly mild with very little wind so the blanket of cloud isn’t shifting at all.
We have explored different solutions for a splash back for the hob but in the end N decided to make one himself. This is made up of cherry planks which he has joined and sanded. He then used his pyrography skills to burn the outline of one of our favourite island views. It is finished with a protective coat of oil. I am really pleased with the finished product and will enjoy it while I slave over a hot stove.
