The Fish Counter
Took our friends on a wee tour this morning and took in the sea caves.
There was a Russian family taking pictures on top of the arch when we arrived. They then climbed down under it and set up camp for the day - eating, drinking, stripping off and swimming ..... generally ruining it for anyone else wanting to take pictures.
That was the start of a day that saw my blood pressure rising.
Nobody knew if my sister and her family had been told about the arrangements for the boys and girls nights out - nobody could get in touch with my sister and her family - my computer developed a software glitch - some child with an overflowing nappy was dragged through the hotel lobby where we were all sitting and both parent and hotel cleaner seemed reluctant to clean it up - electronic door keys stopped working (one of them when the kids were inside and Bags was outside - don't ask!!!) - having input to or knowlege of what was being organised for my own sons wedding - the Cygnet not being well and throwing up........... that sort of thing.
However, there were some lighter moments - like our friends opening their patio door and Peter the Pelican walking into their room and shitting all over the floor making himself comfortable for half an hour.
Most of the other issued were resolved (apart from the feeling of exclusion over information regarding the wedding) by the early evening when the boys all headed off for a bit of go-karting. I didn't take part as my back was sore to begin with and judging by the comments of some of guys when they came off regarding knackered backs and wrists I think it was a good choice.
Drinks and pool went okay later on too and No1 son did not fall to peer pressure or physical attempts to get him to partake in multiple shots and he left sober, which is more than be said for some of the brides family (both male and female).
I just hope to God that it all goes well for and at the wedding.
