Closing In

Pools of water lay on the ice covered lake as a result of temps topping out at 44 today. Normally we have 3 months well below freezing, this winter is different. The wind had picked up creating ripples and more snow clouds were building overhead. Ten minutes after this image the sky was completely black.

I liked the arc of reflected light from the cloud front. It provides a leading line into the frame, unfortunately it heads off left. Fortunately, the light area of sky in the top right pulls the eye back in. Not too bad.
