Issy's Bench
Today's the day .......................... to write a poem
This bench was put alongside the path that follows the the River Tarff up to Cumstoun Bridge, in memory of a much-loved local lady who, as the words inscribed on the back of the seat say, 'loved it here'.
It has had a new addition that I saw today - a Poetry Box. Inside the box, carefully wrapped in a plastic bag to keep the rain out, is a little notebook, a pen and a pencil. The idea is that you sit on Issy's Bench and enjoy the view, while you write (or draw) something in the book. It's a lovely idea, I think.
There are a few entries in the book already - and I added one more ................
