More purple

T planted these crocuses as soon as we got the keys to our new house. They have been allocated a no mow area where other meadow flowers will hopefully flourish in time.

In the afternoon we filled two bin bags with litter trapped in a nearby stream. A chaffinch seemed appreciative of our efforts. The minnows darted around freely in very large numbers.

An owl swooped low over my car as I drove home from town this evening.
