Amandine's Plot Treize

Purple sprouting broccoli

With the recent warmer days, the broccoli is now in full swing. I've been harvesting stems every couple of days for the last week or so.

I must admit I've now gone off it a bit (I was never a huge fan of broccoli to start with, but I prefer the sprouting one, which is the one I grow), however there still aren't many veg to harvest at this time of year and grow-your-own beggars can't be choosers!

When I'm done harvesting it, I'll be sowing broccoli seeds for 2023's crop. It's such a long season and a plant that really needs a lot of attention with the pigeons and whitefly. One of my 6 plants is covered in brassica whitefly, I need to look up companion planting for next year.
