It’s All in the Detail
This is the gable end of the terraced houses making up the east side of George Square. The intensive mortaring is apparently a replica of what it would have been when the building was originally built back in the day. I don’t recall seeing anything like this anywhere else and it does take a little getting used to visually.
It’s been an uneventful day but a quick one. Coffee in the morning with the Sunday gang and a visit in the afternoon from Porty daughter recently returned from cycling in Paphos. I also had a FaceTime chat with Glasgow daughter who after escaping Covid for 2 years when it has always been rife in Dennistoun in Glasgow, has finally succumbed after sitting next to someone whom she discovered later has tested positive for the virus just 4 days before he decided to mingle and sit beside her at a a wedding reception last weekend. She is feeling grim and has lost her sense of smell and taste. She is very unlucky. Not for her just a head cold.
