Sandcastle Stroll

Today we took a quick trip out to Camber Sands in East Sussex. The weather hadn't looked that promising and it was still quite cold when we set out.
However, by the time we reached Camber the sun had appeared and it was actually quite warm - we'd assumed it was going to be even colder than at home so had too many layers on when we started our walk along the beach. My main image is of some of our fellow strollers passing what must be some of the first sandcastles of the year.
The main attractions of Camber Sands are the spotless beach and the gloriously expansive skies which always seem to attract these wonderful cloud formations. It's also nearly completely undeveloped - just the beach, a few very small chalets and a couple of cafes and shops - apart from some very expensive looking beachside homes slightly further along the coast. We discovered one of the cafes actually had a bar so we had a pint looking out to sea and doing some people watching. You can't beat a hit of sea air with a cold pint!
The extras are just some of the other sights we saw on our walk.
