Times Square

A very comfortable 7 hour flight into Newark and a remarkably easy entry through customs and immigration.

Into our hotel just off Times Square to gather ourselves and go for a gander. The very heavy rain put a dampener on that and even later when we went out to a diner it was still throwing it down.

This sums up New York so far: bright, colourful, entertaining and photogenic. Everything is large scale from the people to the portions - see extra of a 1lb beef frankfurter (not mine). We all felt replete at the end of our meal and ready for shuteye - in the city that never sleeps.
