WITH A SONG IN MY HEART

Green Fingers

Here are Amelia and her mummy are sowing seeds for Guinea Pig food. Sabrina was sowing other seeds too and planting and transplanting fruit bushes and flowers. She takes after me and my mum for her green fingers - though I think she is better than me now, she has a very productive veg plot and lots of lovely flowers and shrubs.

Wee Lucy was up early this morning and made everyone Jam toast for breakfast, she even brought me mine up to bed!
Then she decided she was going to have a ‘shop’ on the pavement outside their house. She raided the cupboards and put snacks on a plate - sweet and savoury and she made lemonade all by herself, chopping and squeezing lemons and adding sugar. We did warn her that she may not have any customers as they live at the end of a cul de sac in a very quiet street. So, what did she do? She knocked on their immediate neighbour's doors and asked if they wanted to buy something. She made £5 bless her.

New Growth

What a joy is a packet of seeds
And the pleasure you get from sowing
A few handfuls of earth in a pot and
Soon you can watch them growing

There’s nothing complicated to it
Because seeds just want to grow
Compost and water, sun and warmth
And soon life will begin to show

You don’t even need flower pots
Use egg boxes or inners from loo roll
They’ll do for sowing and germination
Those first shoots will gladden the soul.

Anyway, I’m falling asleep so I must go to bed.
Goodnight Blippers :-) X
