An Unforgettable Respite
We spent our final day on the farm (this trip) simply enjoying life. I decided to capture a few spring blooms and a feisty blue Jay that all but refused to sit still. My BIL turned on the water feature for the wildlife that visits. And I want to highlight all the pre-starched snowflake ornaments our mother made this trip. She has 29 (I think) great grandchildren and her goal is to make a minimum of 20 per grand. She will also write a note to each one and our job will be to ensure they get them as a wedding gift if she is unable to deliver them personally. I’m convinced keeping busy physically and mentally has been one of the smartest things our mother has done. And her busyness is for the benefit of others which must bring contentment. The guys rode their ATVs about 22 miles. We visited the neighbor who made our mother promise to come back this summer. My sister trimmed her flower gardens while I entertained Sugar and read a bit. Our mother took a short nap. What a wonderful time we’ve had. Someone mentioned how blessed we are to live so close and visit with each other so often. Our family is actually our social circle. And yes, we are blessed in many ways. Brooklyn scored two goals to help their win today. Hopefully, we will get to a few games soon. The radio and tv have been off so we have no news. I read and viewed photos by a blipper in Ukraine. Heartbreaking commentary. Thanks for dropping by. Wishing each of you serenity. “What we do for ourselves dies with us. What we do for others and the world remains and is immortal.” – Albert Pine
