2022 Tuesday — Road Trip Potluck
This is what my plate used to look like when I attended a potluck . . . a little of everything. That might sound good, but for me it is not satisfying. I’ve learned to be selective at potlucks; it’s much more satisfying for me.
Here is a potluck of our road-trip today; our trip was okay. It took 1/2 hour longer (4 hrs 30 min) than usual. The traffic was thick coming thru the area of Azusa on the 134 Freeway headed toward Pasadena. Clockwise: The cloud photo was captured in Thousand Oaks. Then three in a row coming down the Camarillo hill on the 101 Freeway; then Oxnard; then the train trestle in Ventura. The next set is (left to right) a few miles from Santa Maria a fire along side the highway caused a bit of a traffic jam. Then a collection of four (clockwise): looking passed Mr. Fun toward Avila Beach on the Port of San Luis, the road sign to exit on our Highway #1, the the exit sign to our little town of Cayucos, then our little itty bitty lavender house.
We have a few friends who kid us that when we head to our coast place, we’re headed to paradise, but actually what we think about is “when we all get to Heaven, what a day of rejoicing that will be.” We have many friends, forever friends, that we will spend eternity in Heaven with and Jesus Christ will be there. That will be Paradise!
Rosie (& Mr. Fun), aka Carol
and Chloe & Mitzi too!
