Straight Back Into It

You know that sensation of being so tired you feel a little ‘groggy’ when you wake up, so it was with me this morning. Breakfast with Mrs S and then I headed off down town for the Mayors Jubilee Parade.
On a hot sunny Friday we were led through the town by the Marine Band as we made our way to Events Square where we sang the National Anthem, heard a speech and then dispersed.
Next stop was Windjammers for a couple of beers with some of the Epic people before walking up the hill to Princess Pavilion.
Falmouth RNA had booked the Pavilion for our celebration but as we were only thirty we agreed some time ago to share our booking with the Town Council.

So in the continued good weather as the two hundred + other guests enjoyed a cream tea so we thirty enjoyed a “Rum Cream Tea”, the traditional scone with cream and jam, (jam first), with a tot or three of rum. Of the thirty attending around twenty drank two bottles of rum. Joshua arrived mid afternoon and joined us, it was a shame Sam and Paddy didn’t go but Sam was right when she said it was too hot for Paddy.

Day Two of the Jubilee celebrations over, I look forward to some rest tomorrow.

Todays photo, the mayor speaking in Events Square , I am on the extreme right.
