Thursday: Garlic Harvest

Rain was forecast for today, we had a few showers but it didn't stop MrD from painting the big shed (colour is British Racing Green) and I got a lot of gardening jobs done:
Harvested the garlic, which were just normal supermarket garlic I'd planted last October - now drying off in the greenhouse https://www.blipfoto.com/entry/2897951165683600376
Sieved the garlic compost and used to it pot on tomatoes (from Cottage Garden Society seed swap) and the 4 Tumbling Tom (bush tomatoes), Cavollo Nero Italian kale,
Potted on 12 little clumps of Leeks "Musselburgh" in fresh compost, not the old garlic compost.
Planted out 3 Courgette plants and one Marrow plant at the far end of the long deep bed under the Bramley apple and damson trees - gave them a good soaking because I'd covered the compost with plastic sheet to stop cats!
Cut some branches off the Beech to use as "pea sticks" - must prune the Beech properly when I've done the urgent gardening jobs!
Posted a photo of Clematis "Gillian Blades" on Twitter - https://www.blipfoto.com/entry/3148498 - Blip is so handy as storage for photos of all my plant purchases.
Stay safe & healthy & happy everyone :-)
Nos da pawb / goodnight all xx
