Male Greenfinch ( Chloris chloris )

Feeling much more normal (assuming I am ver what could be described as normal).  Still a few muscle pains and tiredness but very much back to usual.

Today's "Day wild" is number 16 of the thirty.  The shot is of a male Greenfinch.  A species which has been having rather a rough time in recent years.  Trichomonosis is a disease caused by a parasite which interferes with the bird's ability to eat.  This has reduced the population by 62% over the last 30 years.  This reduction in population has led to them being added to the Red List of conservation concern.
