Limnonaria
We caught the local bus to this little bay, called Limnonaria, where we spent the day alternately reading swimming and eating at one of the two tavernas. It was as quiet and unspoilt as it looks and there were lots of colourful fish swimming around in the clear waters close to the beach.
As you can see from the extras the views were pretty good, even if the 15 minute walk back up from the beach to the main road was pretty steep!
The road from Skopelos winds round the coast and features some spectacularly tight hair pin bends which the driver obviously enjoyed swinging around even, on the way back, with every seat full and the aisle crammed with people standing. In line with typical Greek health and safety practices, there must have been almost as many people standing as sitting.
This evenings meal was on a rooftop restaurant overlooking the harbour and, after yesterday’s meat fest, we opted for sardines and swordfish
