Basil

Today was a bit meh! My plans changed for a number of reasons so I decided to do some sewing. We finished decorating our bedroom a while ago but the bed valance wasn’t right (I got a dye and changed it from white to blue but the colour was a bit washed out). I bought some blue fabric and spent the afternoon making a new valance but my machine was playing up and the end result was very disappointing. I was cross that I had wasted tine and effort and should not have bothered. OH got back from golf and couldn’t see what I was cross about, saying it looked fine. I do like sewing and other crafting hobbies but sometimes wonder why I bother.

OH was tired after golf and snoozed in the garden but I put my sewing machine away and pottered in the garden. Still feeling meh - I wondered why I bothered growing so much from seed and cuttings? I’ve got 20 coleus plants I don’t know what to do with and five pots of basil (can always make pesto?)

We watched some tennis (Jack Draper who we saw at Eastbourne ) while I finished off some more of my tapestry ( who needs another cat tapestry??)
