Munich Day 3
A much warmer day today, a massive 20.5k steps (!!) and another two DK Eyewitness highlights done.
1. Deutsches Museum
2. Schloss Nymphenburg
The museum was brilliant - the world's largest museum of technology and engineering, founded in 1903. Ironic though that they could only accept cash payments as all their card machines were out of action due to IT problems. Lots of robotics on show, some of it working (main blip), some not yet as in the first extra.
Schloss Nymphenburg (second and third extras) is a huge palace to the west of Munich, with large Baroque gardens. You could easily spend all day there I would think and still not see everything. Inside is the Gallery Of Beauties, a room full of commissioned portraits of noble-women, townswomen and dancers, including the ravishing Lola Montez, Irish mistress of King Ludwig I. Hmm.
We did see one beauty (fourth extra). I'm not sure if she was a real bride or a model.
To continue the saga of the hotel room servicing we got back after 7pm and it hadn't been done. They knocked on the door asking to do it at about 7.30 pm but we sent them away.
For our final evening meal we went back the the brauhaus garden where we had a meal on our first evening. This time there was an oompah band. They were playing sitting down but when they saw me creeping up to take a photo they all leapt up and posed for me (final extra).

Framed Church Revisited
Backblipped on 12 July.
Apparently that is 1500 blips now. I thought that was going to be tomorrow!
