Wednesday: Roses in a Vase

Cloudy with blue sky this morning, not too hot but it warmed late morning which was handy as I had a line full of washing to dry.
Noticed the beautiful roses whilst I was at the washing line - they smell as good as they look. Around the same time last year my favourite "vase" had different roses in it - https://www.blipfoto.com/entry/2862447825038345153
Lots of baby cooking apples have been falling from the Bramley tree, it's usually too wet here for "June drop" but this year there's hardly any rain :-((
I usually crush the fallen apples and throw them onto the grass for the wildlife but decided to keep the larger ones this year - used them in a fruit compote along with 2 stems of fresh rhubarb and frozen blueberries, blackcurrants and gooseberries from last summer, it's very tasty - MrD enjoyed it for pudding!
Watered some of the seedlings in the greenhouse - also watered the outdoor trough with 3 tomato plants and snow peas planted last Thursday, snow peas have germinated and tomato plants have open flowers, the compost was very dry!
A few more bees and butterflies around today, one bee was on the passiflora in the greenhouse - see extra ...
Stay safe & healthy & happy everyone :-)
Nos da pawb / goodnight all xx
