Wednesday: The Most Easterly Point

We had the morning in Halifax and have now moved on……

After a moderately short (by Canadian standards - 1h 45min) flight we’re now in St Johns, Newfoundland & Labrador.  It all sounds, and feels, remarkably exotic.  It’s the most easterly point of North America - if we were so inclined we could get up and be the first to see the sunrise on the continent.

We arrived early evening so just enough time for a walk through town before a few drinks and dinner.

After dinner I headed up to our room slightly ahead of K.  She got somewhat confused in the room number and walked in on a couple lying on their bed.  ‘Lock your door’ she said, as she retreated.  I love the way she turned the situation around.
