WITH A SONG IN MY HEART

Young Love, Old Love

It’s been a perfect day
for a celebration,
for a wedding maybe
or an anniversary.
The sun has blessed us all,
we heard church bells ringing,
birds singing and went walking
with our young friends -
they’re 6 years married today.
We saw a wedding party,
there were rose petals
strewn on the ground.
We introduced them
to a kissing gate which
we demonstrated and they
then took full advantage of!
Young love and old love,
celebrating a special day.

We took a picnic to Malham today and before we ate it we walked
to Gordale Scar. It was hot and sunny but with a slight breeze so perfect.
Yurii was thrilled to see rock climbers high up and some dangling on their ropes. He then climbed up the rocks to see the limestone paving of Malham Cove.
Bella wasn’t happy and tried to follow him but I called her back and she sat with her eyes glued to where she had seen him disappear. She wasn’t happy until he returned.
We walked back into Malham and sat by the river for our picnic and I dangled my feet in the very cold water. Bella is getting better at going in too and enjoyed running in and out - progress! (See extras)
Frank made a lovely bean and apple curry for tea and we had non alcoholic bubbly - they don’t drink alcohol. Tonya then suggested we watch a film and she chose Little Women. What a wonderful film it is, I am not the type to cry in films but this one made me well up. Beautiful.

Now we’re all tired out and I’m in bed much later than usual writing this.
Naughty me! We don’t normally allow technology where we sleep!

Thank you for all the lovely comments, stars and hearts this week. So kind.

Goodnight :-)X
