Ancient Woodlands

This is the same woodlands that I visited just a week ago but on this occasion I was accompanied by a photographer friend and I did not miss the start of the pathway around the woods.

Also there was a fabulous blue sky this morning with few clouds and lovely raking sunlight that gave lovely contrasts in the lighting on the trees and cast nice strong shadows. It felt almost magical. It was an absolutely great morning for photography and we made the most out of it. There were many striking images but I have chosen this for my blip as I think it makes the most of this fabulous lighting.
